Two resorts in one: the longhouses and the tower

  • The Villas (longhouses, 2015; 360 Deluxe Studios and 20 Bungalows): the studios are about 465 sq ft, the largest standard studio at Walt Disney World, with a split bath (a tub-shower plus a second, rain shower) and a queen, a queen pull-down and a single pull-down, sleeping 5. The Bungalows sit over the lagoon with a plunge pool and a fireworks view.
  • Island Tower (opened December 2024; 268 villas): Duo Studios for two, the cheapest room on the monorail at 95 points a week; Deluxe Studios for 4; 1- and 2-bedrooms with full kitchens; Penthouses. Theme Park View rooms face Magic Kingdom. It has its own Cove Pool and Wailulu Bar & Grill.

It's one association, so every Polynesian owner books both sides at 11 months, resale contracts included. The longhouses are studios and Bungalows; the 1- and 2-bedrooms are all in the tower.

The same longhouse Deluxe Studio (resort view), every Sunday-to-Sunday week of the year, the 2017 chart against 2027 (2017 is the oldest Polynesian chart we have):

  • Summer, mid-June to mid-August: every week lost 23 points, 169 to 146 (−14%).
  • October to mid-November: every week gained 30 points, 130 to 160 (+23%).
  • December: every week went up. January added 7 points a week, 118 to 125.

27 weeks got pricier and 24 cheaper. Easter moves between years (Apr 16, 2017 against Mar 28, 2027), so the weeks around it swing.

Staying soon? Work going on right now

  • Great Ceremonial House, through 2026: exterior work wraps the lagoon side in scaffolding, so 'Ohana's lagoon views may be blocked. Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace has been closed since April; check Disney for its reopening.
  • Front entrance, through early 2027: the entrance roadway is being rebuilt. The new main entrance opened in December 2025 and the new bus loop in July 2026; Disney now says early 2027 to finish.
