Are DVC points worth it on a Disney cruise? The math
Disney cruises: the best or worst use of your DVC points? The worst. A 7-night Disney Treasure sailing in an inside stateroom costs two adults 506 DVC points, or $4,838 in cash. That's $9.56 of cruise for each point you spend.
Here is the one sailing in full, why the cruise chart is per person, five 2027 sailings that all land near $9.55 a point, what happens when Disney runs a sale, how that compares with your dues and with renting, what to do instead, and what a 3rd guest costs.

- Disney Treasure, 7-night Eastern Caribbean, Jan 16–23, 2027, inside, 2 adults: 506 points plus a $95 fee, or $4,838 cash. $9.56 a point.
- The chart is per person for the first two guests: 253 points each. A 3rd or 4th guest has its own, lower line.
- Five 2027 sailings, short or long, inside or verandah, all land between $9.54 and $10.29 a point at Disney's regular price.
- When Disney runs a sale, cash drops and points don't: the same sailing on offer is $3,690, or $7.29 a point.
- Rent 242 points at about $20, pay Disney cash, and keep 264 points: about three September weeks in a Saratoga Springs studio.
