Booking DVC 4–5 months out: Saratoga isn't the only thing left
Four to five months before check-in, most Disney World DVC studios are booked up for the length of a typical trip. What's left as one room is often Saratoga Springs or Old Key West. Switch rooms once or twice mid-trip, though, and a lot more of Disney World opens up.
We looked at 28 check-in days, Feb 8 – Mar 7, 2027, each tried as a 3-, 4-, 5- and 6-night studio stay, with rooms as of Oct 8, 2026.

- For a 5-night stay, 19 of 28 check-in days had no studio open every night at any Disney World DVC resort.
- Leaving Saratoga and Old Key West out, one switch took 5-night stays from 2 check-in days to 6; two switches took 6-night stays from 2 to 9.
- Allowing a 1-bedroom for the nights after the first 2 in a studio, one switch took a week-long stay from 4 check-in days to 11.
The longer the stay, the fewer the options
One check-in day at a time, could you book a studio for the whole stay at any Disney World DVC resort? Out of 28 check-in days, the ones with no studio open every night:

Each switch unlocks more options
Leaving Saratoga and Old Key West out, split stays open up more check-in days. A switch means checking out of one room and into another, at the same resort or a different one.

A 1-bedroom for a night or two?
Allowing a 1-bedroom for part of the stay, with at least 2 nights still in a studio, opens up more days again. Check-in day options out of 28, outside Saratoga and Old Key West:

Which days open up?
Every check-in day for a 3-night stay, Feb 8 – Mar 7, 2027: at least 2 nights in a studio, a 1-bedroom allowed for the third, Saratoga and Old Key West left out.
- No switches (7 days): Feb 22, 27 and 28, Mar 1, 2, 6 and 7.
- One switch (6 days): Feb 8 and 21, Mar 3 and 5 in studios; Feb 23 and 26 with a 1-bedroom night.
- Two switches (6 days): Feb 19 and 20 and Mar 4 in studios; Feb 15, 17 and 18 with a 1-bedroom night.
- No options (9 days): Feb 9–14, 16, 24 and 25.

A 4-night stay: Sun Feb 28 – Thu Mar 4
No studio at any Disney World DVC resort was open all 4 nights. One switch covers it:
- Grand Floridian, Resort Studio, Resort View: Sunday and Monday, 2 nights, few left. 48 points.
- Animal Kingdom Villas, Kidani, Deluxe Studio, Resort View: Tuesday and Wednesday, 2 nights, open. 32 points.
One switch, 80 points.
Studio + 1-bedroom, a full week: Mon Mar 1 – Sun Mar 7
Outside Saratoga and Old Key West, no studio split covered all 6 nights. Four in a studio, two in a 1-bedroom:
- Polynesian Villas, Deluxe Studio, Resort View: Monday to Thursday, 4 nights, open. 100 points.
- Animal Kingdom Villas, Kidani, One-Bedroom Villa, Resort View: Friday and Saturday, 2 nights, open. 70 points.
One switch, 170 points.
