Missed the 7-month DVC booking window? Good luck landing a studio
We looked at every Disney World DVC studio on Oct 2, 2026: 4-night stays, counted open only when every night had a room. The closer to check-in, the less was left.

Of studio stays 7–8 months out, 48% were already gone before most members could even book. Owners book their home resort at 11 months, so by the time every member can book at 7, the best weeks are often gone.

5–6 months out: a Thursday–Monday in March 2027
Studio check-ins on Thursdays in March 2027 (Mar 4, 11, 18 and 25), 4 nights, as of Oct 2, 2026. Some weeks were still open at Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Kidani Village and Bay Lake Tower. Nothing was open on any Thursday at Copper Creek, BoardWalk, Beach Club, Boulder Ridge or Jambo House.
How owners still get rooms
- Book the day your window opens: 7 months before check-in, 11 at your home resort.
- Waitlist right away. Don't wait to see if something opens up.
- Check back often. Rooms come back as people cancel or change plans.
- Be flexible on resort. Saratoga Springs and Old Key West had the most room.
- Try a 1-bedroom. 5–7 months out, 50% were open vs. 27% of studios. It costs more points.
Play it well and the odds can still be good. Wait, and they drop fast.
